In this course, Nick will discuss and define the role of plyometrics within the context of a training system. Nick will place specific emphasis on the evidence supporting the use of plyometrics to enhance performance and decrease risk of injury. He will then present a 3-component model for developing an individualized and training specific plyometric session. Finally, Nick will provide program design recommendations and considerations for the Plyometric training component.
The plyometrics practical will provide focused movement strategies based on movement type, movement direction, and movement initiation. Specific emphasis will be placed on instruction, error identification, error correction, and cueing.
*This course is also included in the EXOS Performance Specialist Course
