About Author:

Tariq A. Nasheed (also known as “King Flex” or “K-Flex”) was born on the west side of Detroit, Michigan on July 1st . He is an author, actor, and game counselor. He wrote the New York Times best seller The Art Of Mackin.

Tariq moved from Detroit to Birmingham, Alabama in the early 1980s with his mother and grandmother. Due to slow pace and boredom of the social scene he saved money for an airplane ticket which cost $125 and decided to leave Birmingham for Los Angeles, California at age 17. A high school dropout, he was known as an infamous hustler and street legend in the Los Angeles area during the late 90’s.
