Description

This webinar explores the emergence and re-emergence of global infectious diseases.  The contributing factors for this situation are discussed and shared in the context of a transition in global epidemiology.  The chain of infectious diseases is reviewed as is the global impact of these diseases.  The emergence and possible re-emergence of infectious disease in the future are also discussed.

The Georgia Osteopathic Medical Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians and designates this program for a maximum of 1 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Grievance Policy:

Ali Moradi, MD, MPH, DRPH is Associate Dean of Clinical Integration and Director of Primary Care Skills at PCOM, north GA campus in Suwannee, GA. He has been actively involved in osteopathic medical education for the past 21 years.  He is academically proficient in the development and delivery of various medical education curriculum including problem-based learning pathways (PBL) and simulation-based pathways. Dr. Moradi has been involved with the items writing and revising with NBOME for COMLEX level, I, II, and PE portion since 2005. He has been elected as Chair of Health promotion disease prevention with NBOME for the past 10 years. He also serves as NBOME national enclave faculty for construction and overview of NBOME blueprint. Dr. Moradi is a fellow of the national academy of osteopathic medical educators NAOME.
